Tip: Leave your car at the Rimske Toplice carpark, catch a train to Zidani Most and return on foot following the Aškerc trail or vice versa.

Besides being a spectacular viewing point, The Holy Trinity hill (851 m) above Jurklošter is a popular tourist destination for hikers and nature lovers. From the Slovenia’s mountains you can catch a glimpse of Snežnik, Gorjanci, Lisca, Kum, Bohor, Donačka gora, Boč, Pohorje, Konjiška gora, Plešivec, Mrzlica, gora Oljka, Menina planina, Kamnik-Savinja Alps (Ojstrica, Planjava, Brana, Turska gora, Skuta, Grintovec) and Triglav (Julian Alps). At the top of the hill you will find the Holy Trinity church, part of the St. Maurice Jurklošter parish.

The Orion trail follows the remains of ancient cultures through spots and areas that used to to serve as the meghalithic “Centre of the World” temple in the triangle between Savinja, Sava and Sotla rivers, as discovered by dr. Karl Gržan. The multiple forts with hundreds of meters of walls follow the pattern of Orion constellation. The trails also lets you discover other attractions of the mysterious Gračnica valley.
Tip: In the Sign of Orion, a book by dr. Karl Gržan, a Jurklošter Carthusian monk, presents the misteries of the megalithic temple and ancient forts. The book is available for purchase at TIC Laško.

Track
The track is well maintained and marked as part of the A8 Spa trail. Note the information board with test instructions.
Test
The 500m distance between A and B is walked over four times. You get to warm up before you start. At the finish line you measure your time and heart rate. Detailed instructions can be found on the test card.
