Experience a Cup of Immortalita at the Aškerc homestead

The homestead of the greatest Slovenian epic poet Anton Aškerc has been preserved in its original form and converted into a museum with ethnological and Slavistic exhibitions. Visitors can see the literary collection, the black kitchen, the living quarters, the chamber, the bedroom… In the more than 500-year-old granary, the Aškerc family has set up a small tasting and sales area where visitors can sample various house cheeses and the jelly from Aškerc’s Damascene Rose, which delights the taste buds and also conjures up stories from the Thousand and One Nights, Aladdin’s Lamp, Aškerc’s Cup of Immortality or his other works, as well as many other mysterious tales from the Middle East.
