In the final months of the Second World War, the brewery was almost completely destroyed due to allied air strikes on the railway bridge.

Immediately after the liberation, workers began to restore the ruined brewery with their voluntary work, and by the summer of the following year, the first shipment of beer from PIVOVARNA LAŠKO was ceremoniously sent to the market.

Today, 200 years after the first barrel of beer from Laško, Pivovarna Laško is following a path of intensive business development within the Heineken company with a core focus: to offer consumers the highest quality beer with excellent market supply. With modern brewing technology, computerised process control and business informatics, it develops appropriate production and marketing programmes that ensure the premium quality of beer and other products, thus consolidating its popularity among domestic and foreign beer lovers.
