St. Martin’s Festival in Laško – Taste the Tradition, Wine, and Autumn Spirit of the Town

As autumn paints Laško in its warmest hues, the town comes alive in celebration of St. Martin’s Day. Between 5 and 10 November, Laško will host the 27th St. Martin’s Festival, a celebration that brings together tradition, culture, and the genuine local spirit.

The festivities begin at the Laško Library with a talk about the world’s oldest grapevine, continue at the Laško Cultural Centre with the main event Martin Celebrates, and reach their highlight on Sunday, 9 November, with the traditional St. Martin’s Fair on Aškerčev trg – a true feast of wine, music, and local delicacies.
The celebration is complemented by holy masses dedicated to St. Martin, creative workshops and wine tastings at Laška hiša, and a rich culinary offer from local restaurants that fill the town with the scents and flavors of autumn.

Laško has been celebrating St. Martin’s Day for almost eight centuries – as a festival of wine, people, and community.
